Në qëndresën paqësore të protestave në Kosovë të vitit 1990, rreth 10 mijë qytetarë u mblodhën në Prishtinë për të protestuar dhe për t’ua përcjellë senatorëve amerikanë, të udhëhequr nga Robert Dole, gjendjen e shqiptarëve nën sundimin e regjimit serb. Protestuesit shpërndaheshin me dhunë nga policia serbe. Në rrëmujën e ndjekjes, Faik Rexhepi refuzoi të lëvizte dhe u ul këmbëkryq, ndërsa policia po afrohej. Ky akt i rezistencës përfaqëson qëndresën, paqen dhe këmbëngulësinë e luftës sonë për liri. Vepra u realizua nga artistja Eliza Shala dhe u vendos më 28 nëntor 2022.

During the peaceful resistance protests in Kosovo in 1990, around 10,000 citizens gathered in Prishtina to protest and to convey to the American senators, led by Robert Dole, the situation of Albanians under the rule of the Serbian regime. The protesters were violently dispersed by the Serbian police. Amid the chaos of the pursuit, Faik Rexhepi refused to move and sat cross-legged while the police were approaching. This act of resistance represents the perseverance, peace, and determination of our struggle for freedom. The work was created by artist Eliza Shala and installed on 28 November 2022.
